Martha Belle (Hill) Pippin
Martha Belle (Hill) Pippin passed away Jan. 18, 2017 in Farmington. She was 95.
She was born on Nov. 25, 1921, daughter to the late Thomas and Iva (Propes) Hill.
In 1939, she was united in marriage to George Pippin Sr., who preceded her in death in 1986.
To this union two sons were born, George and wife Linda Pippin of Pilot Knob, and Harry Pippin, who preceded her in death.
Martha is survived by three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
In addition to her husband and son, Martha is preceded in death by her brothers, Edward Hill, George Hill, Everett Hill, Frances Hill, Tommy Hill, Elmer Hill, and Fred Propes; and her sisters, Edna Wren, Evelyn Womack, Wilma Vance, Della Hill, Stella Spivey and Myrtle Inman.
Martha worked at the counter of the drug store, a job she really enjoyed before working for over 20 years as an examiner for the shirt factory. She was a member of the Arcadia Valley Church of Christ.
Funeral services for Martha were held on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017 at 11 a.m. from Bryson Funeral Home with Pat McDowell and Hilt Underwood officiating.
Visitation was Friday evening from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Interment was in the Arcadia Valley Memorial Park.
