Ruth Evelyn Lindberg

Ruth Evelyn Lindberg of Ironton passed away Jan. 14, 2017 in Belleville, IL. She was 92.

She was born on Sept. 21, 1924, the daughter of the late Malcolm Price and Hester Jane (Rudy) Ringo.

On Sept. 13, 1943 she was united in marriage to Kenneth Franklin Lindberg, who preceded her in death on July 19, 2003.  

To this union four children were born, Kenneth M. Lindberg and his wife,  Pratoom of Great Falls, VA, Nancy Monroe of O’Fallon, IL, Kathryn Lindberg of Ironton, and Robert S. Lindberg and his wife Kelly of Smithfield, VA.  

Evelyn is also survived by her two sisters, Roberta Thompson of Pilot Knob, and Annette Miller of Sherman, TX, eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Evelyn was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Ringo and Malcom Ringo.

Evelyn was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ironton.  She was also a member of the Do-Si-Doe Square Dancers, the Horseman’s Association, Missouri Farm Bureau, and the Historical Society.  She enjoyed gardening and belonged to the Garden Club.  She and her husband owned Lindberg Realty.  

Funeral services were held on Friday, Jan. 20, 2017 at 1 p.m. from Bryson Funeral Home with Rev. Aaron Boeving officiating.  Visitation began on Friday morning at 11:30 a.m.  Interment was in Arcadia Valley Memorial Park.
