Donna Opal Pinkley
Donna Opal Pinkley of Ironton passed away Jan. 6, 2017 in Pilot Knob. She was 75.
She was born Oct. 25, 1941 in Roselle, the daughter of the late Rolla Lee and Stella Lorene (Schrum) Thompson.
On Jan. 5, 1957 she was united in marriage to Richard Duane Pinkley, who survives. To this union five children were born: Lois Kay Northington and husband, Gary, of Arnold, Richard “Rick” Duane Pinkley, Jr. and wife, Teressa, of Fredericktown, Elizabeth “Liz” Jo Pinkley of Arcadia, Jeffrey Scott Pinkley of Roselle, and Jennifer Lynn Pinkley of Ironton.
Also surviving is her sister, Reba Joan Pinkley of Roselle, 14 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Donna was preceded in death by two brothers, Steven Lee Thompson and Sammy Thompson.
Donna was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Roselle. She enjoyed sewing and quilting. She was a member of Dixie Lee Quilters Guild in Fredericktown. Most of all she loved being a good wife, mother, and grandmother to her family.
Funeral services were held on Monday, Jan. 9, 2017 at 6 p.m. from Bryson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charlie Buford officiating.
