Ruby Ova Nash

Ruby Ova Nash of Ironton passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018 at her residence. She was 79.

She was born on May 27, 1938 in Hogan, the daughter of the late Ira and Georgia (Bone) Wadlow.

On February 6, 1981, she was united in marriage to Jeff Nash, who survives.  

Ruby is survived by three children, Larence Browers and wife, Jenny of Van Buren, Debra Ridlon and husband, Robin of Arcadia, and Gail Nash Grindstaff and fiancé, David Snyder of Park Hills;  five sisters, Kay Mauzy of Arcadia, Tarrie Myers of Ironton, Joan Blevins of Ironton, Jean Barton of Arcadia, and Vickie Harper of Ironton; a brother, Tim Wadlow of Patterson; eight grandchildren, Travis, Rachel, Chastidy, Josie, Zac, Kyle, Larence, and Collin. 12 great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.  

Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Larence Browers; her sister, Barbara Browers; and three brothers, Russell Wadlow, Clyde Wadlow, and Ronnie Wadlow.  

Ruby was a member of Christian Life Ministries Church in Farmington.  She was a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star and she served her church in the women’s auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and quilting.  

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 11 a.m. from Bryson Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Webb officiating.  

Visitation was on Monday evening from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.  Interment was in the Masonic Cemetery in Ironton.  

Memorials may be made to the Ironton Masonic Cemetery or the Alzheimer’s Association.
