Charles Edward Risher

Charles Edward Risher of Ironton passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018. He was 93.

He was born on April 19, 1924 in Annapolis, a son of the late Ira and Ella Mae Inman Risher.  On Sept. 1, 195, he was united in marriage to Betty Inman, who survives.  

To this union was born four children, Pete Risher and wife Barbara of Annapolis, Lonnie Risher of Ironton and Ella Mae Jones and husband Jon of Ironton; and a son, Carl, who preceded him in death.

Other survivors include two brothers, Vernon and Ira Risher; two sisters  Donna Ruth Robertson and Wilma Lea Rehkop; seven grandchildren, David, Melinda, Melanie, Ethan, Eli, Isaac, and Andrea; four great-grandchildren, Noah, Hunter, Nixon, and Harper; along with many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother, John Melvin Risher; and three sisters, Dorothy Carlton, Juanita Heavin and Alta Bush.

 Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 from Cole Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Elder Mark Sutton officiating.  Interment was in Cove Cemetery.
